These events, ran on behalf of the Broads Peat Partnership, will showcase some of the sites that have been selected for feasibility studies to raise water levels, protect and build peat to sequester carbon, improve wildlife habitat and improve water quality in downstream waterbodies.
Wider benefits including the potential use of multi-use wetlands to mitigate drought and flooding will be discussed including current planning, permitting and protected site considerations.
Information on innovative and traditional wetland harvesting techniques and the emerging market for wetland products will be provided.
This Fen Farm Walk takes place at the Horsey Estate on Thursday 22 September, from 10am-1pm.
